Yesterday morning I was craving some cinnamon toast, so decided to snap a few pictures & share the recipe with you all. This is a very quick & easy breakfast (or any time of the day) treat. In under 10 minutes you can have this delicious cinnamony snack in your belly. Continue reading →
Happy Easter all! Of course I was going to post a Hot Cross Bun recipe. I found a great recipe by the bread baking king, Mr Paul Hollywood, on the BBC Good Food website. I’ve made some modifications (sorry Paul!) based on my taste preferences and what I had on hand and I think they’re just scrumdiddlyumptious! Continue reading →
I was recently given the Great British Puddings recipe book as a gift. It’s full of lots of pudding recipes including old favourites as well as some more traditional forgotten recipes. It has a good mix of pies, puddings, cakes and other dessert recipes. There are also a good picture to recipe ration, which is always nice to see. Continue reading →
I hope you had a lovely Christmas and New Years. I know it feels like such a long time ago, but I hope you’re feeling well rested. The cake I am going to share with you this week was made for a birthday last month, but as it was done so close to Christmas that I just hadn’t gotten round to blogging it yet.
It was for a lady turning 25. The brief was simply – CHOCOLATE, and lots of it. Continue reading →
Peach cobbler just sounds like the ultimate, most delicious, stereotypical American dessert. I always remember hearing it mentioned on American TV shows and promised myself that one day I would make sure that I tried some of this cobbler for myself. Well now I’m older and I know how to bake, so I decided to make it myself rather than travel across the pond in search of a restaurant that makes this beautiful dessert. Continue reading →
These cupcakes were made for a 21st birthday celebration. The birthday girl already had some large cakes for her party but wanted some cupcakes for the dessert table to offer as an alternative. I decorated some of the cupcakes with a ’21′ made out of fondant and added some sugar pearls to jazz (I like that word) them up a bit.

This first cake was for a family friend’s little girl who turned 3 years old a few weeks ago. I made this cake in the style of a wrapped gift box and used red as the “ribbon” as this was Isis’ favourite colour. Continue reading →

This Giant Cupcake was made for a very good friend of the family who celebrated her birthday a few weeks ago. Her name is Ruby, which is why she requested the lovely red theme for her cake. The cake is a victoria sponge, filled with raspberry jam and vanilla buttercream.
I really love the deep red colour that I achieved with the buttercream roses and as always, it is a massive confidence boost to recieve positive feedback about my cakes.
